Sunrise Psalm
A moment of serenity
gave birth again to rosy dawn, From aspen-shimmered answering the meadow’s beauty sings along.
To sing this hymn and give it voice,
the Earth and sky have now begun;
a morning psalm to fill the air
in praise of day’s new victory won. We see it with the spirit’s eye
and in rebirth God’s hand is there; the voice of sweet young lark is heard and glowing aspens thrill the air. The night’s long meditation has given way to morning song
when nature pauses, filled with awe, and prays a whispered sunrise psalm. Stanley C Udall

A great tribute to Him.
Happy Easter to you too.

Author's Response: Thanks Art. Initially I didn't think of this as an Easter poem, just a spiritual one about God's hand in nature, but when I realized how close it was to Easter I saw the resurrection morning in this poem. --Stan

This is an exceptionally well expressed poem, Stan, and your imagery in this most pleasing and calming write was very effective in every instance. Dawn has long been my favorite time of day, and though I have watched sunrises for years, it has always been the high point of my day, much like this brilliant poem
suggests. Carl.
Author's Response: Thanks Carl. For the most part I have been an early riser and enjoy being in nature to enjoy its best while others are missing out. --Stan

This poem is awesome, and immediately it reminded me of Edvard Grieg's
"Morning" from the Peer Gynt Suite. I could just hear it while reading your poem.
It fits this melody perfectly !
Thanks for sharing this lovely poetic Masterpiece ! Frosty Lady

for our salvation.

Stan, this poem is absolutely lovely, inspiring and unparalled. The use of nature to paint word photos is totally outstanding. The theme is subtle and weaves its way into one's inner self as one journeys through this experiential poem. Hope you include this in your book. Thanks for your poetic and personal character and quality. martin
Author's Response: Thanks Martin. Actually I was saving most of the inspirational ones for the second book to follow in about 6 months.

Oh, how lovely, like a whispering breeze, refreshing and inspiring! Excellent! Sheri
Author's Response: Thanks Sheri, I was just noticing that lines 1 & 3 don't rhyme but I guess that is ok. --Stan
