Tears of My Soul

Seeing me again After all these years, How could you have doubt That I ever loved you? How could I be so sure? When you threw my love away And left my heart in desolation, I cried until all my tears Covered my face And the tracks went dry. But the real tears were the ones That you couldn’t see, The ones that covered my soul Until the only thing remaining Was the numbness in my heart. |

A very moving poem. Isn't that the way it goes? The real tears, the most painful ones are the ones no one sees, the dry ones that are inside and can't get out. --Stan

WOW, the second and third stanzas are classics. What word photos you paint like an artist that dips into the depth of soul. "And the tracks went dry",
what an imaginative image. Another conceptually deep romantic love creation. martin
